Facebook Page Spring Clean Challenge – Day 3
Welcome to Day 3 of the Challenge!
Today we look at your Page Template, which dictates the tabs on the left hand side of your Page.
Plus we’ll also look at Recommendations and Reviews – how they’ve changed and what you need to know.
PAGE TEMPLATE / PAGE SETTINGS
Recently you might have received a notification or email letting you know that your Facebook Page Template had been changed. I created a video at the time, and you can check it out here.
It’s your Page Template that specifies the tabs that appear on the left-hand side of your Page (on desktop) or the scroll through options under the initial information on your Page on a mobile app.
Step 1: Check each of the tabs on your Page to make sure they are filled out and optimised.
Do a quick click through each of the tabs on the left hand side of your Page. Fill out or optimise any that you would like to keep.
For any that you don’t want to fill out, in the next step I’ll show you how to remove them from your Page.
Step 2: Remove the Tabs you don’t want and Add in Those You Do Want
Go to Settings at the top right of your Page, and go to Edit Page.
The video below will show you how to add and remove Tabs from your Page.
Recommendations and Reviews
The rating and review system on Facebook has changed recently, and instead of a 5 Star rating system, visitors are now given the opportunity to Recommend or Not Recommend your business.
They are still able to leave a comment with their recommendation so the reviews are similar.
Also, if people recommend your business to their friends or within Groups (on those posts that Ask for a Recommendation), their endorsement will show up on your Page.
The video below explains the changes.
It’s best to reply to all of your Recommendations where possible (to show that you’re engaged on your Page and appreciate the feedback) so go through and reply to past reviews, and have a system in place to help you reply as quickly as possible.
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to pop into the Facebook Group and place your question in the comments below the Day 3 post.
